Welcome to Cheam Tennis Club

ABOUT US

Cheam Tennis Club is a section of Cheam Sports Club. It is a members club, established in 1926, run by a voluntary committee elected from members of the club.

FACILITIES AND SERVICES

There is a new pavillion with bar and changing facilities. In addition, there is a Cannons Health and Fitness Centre with a Swimming pool on site, but at extra cost.

We have five tennis courts, all artificial grass (three floodlit). Current membership is around 120 seniors and 75 juniors. There is an LTA Licensed Coach available for both group and individual coaching. During the summer holidays, kids camps are run.

CLUB SESSIONS

We have club sessions where members 'mix in' to play sets of doubles using a simple 'peg board system'. This provides an excellent opportunity for new members to meet existing members.

Players of all standards are welcome to join the club, but members are required to be of a reasonable playing standard to join in at club times. There are coaching courses available to give beginners and intermediate players the opportunity to reach the required standard.

EVENTS AND SOCIALS

American Tournaments are played throughout the summer, usually on the bank holidays, and there are occasional barbecues and social events.

Joining the Tennis Club gives you full benefits of Cheam Sports Club, where there is a friendly bar, cheap drinks, food (at certain times), large screen TV, and Quiz Nights.
